Barrenlands Off the Road to Nowhere

The Road to Nowhere is a beautiful example of horrific governance in Canada's Arctic territories. This multi-million infrastructure project was developed to build a new garbage dump outside Iqaluit; only after construction was complete, the new site was found to be unusable, and left behind this expensive road which leads for kilometers into the tundra before ending abruptly. More recently it has found a new purpose -- an access road for new housing developments along the city outskirts.
